Speaking

Technology

David first gave his most-requested talk in Lithuania in 2019 and has delivered it at many high-profile events since.

David explains how AI works, why it hallucinates, what agents are, what AGI is and when it arrives, and whether AI replaces your employees or joins them to create more value than your company could before. Most people don’t care how AI works, so he tailors the talk to what your audience wants to know. Watch this talk

What does it mean for AI to be smarter than most humans? This talk goes beyond the hype and the games to look at key scenarios. What will that world look like, what are the risks and opportunities, and when will it be a reality? Learn more.

Business

David works with your audience to set up their own agents and get their system to be productive. Can be one-on-one or in groups. Designed for executives, owners, and board members but can be extended.

What to do now. Companies that decide faster, read changing customer needs faster, and learn faster will grow. Companies that treat AI as “just a tool” will miss out.

AI moves too fast for quarterly updates. Executives should go through a monthly exercise learning what happened recently and how to adjust. Watch a sample briefing.

Not as soon as you think. In this talk, David explains the roadmap for robot adoption, based on his LinkedIn series.

David leads decision-making masterminds, workshops, and talks. The most common form of this is a 90-minute webinar where he gives 2 challenging cognitive tests to help reveal your decisionmaking machinery. Learn more.

Economics

AI agents already outnumber humans online. Every industry is becoming a stack of data, context, intelligence, and autonomous action. This includes making our data much smarter and making it work harder – the Palantirization of everything. David can emphasize economics or infrastructure, in a talk or a fireside chat. Read the essay on the future of AI infrastructure.

David has spoken on monetary policy at several events. Monetary policy is a huge driver of the economy and allows innovation to happen or kills it. He explains how central banks cause recessions and could be far more effective using a market-based approach called Nominal GDP-level targeting.

David gave this talk at the European Parliament in Brussels.

Education

David’s son Micah, now 15, has been homeschooling himself since he was 12. Together or separately, they speak on unschooling in a world of AI, robots, and Ikigai.

This can be a fireside chat, a panel discussion, a keynote, or a workshop. David brings evidence to back up each of these claims:

  • Education is dysfunctional and cannot be fixed.
  • The Fed is the root cause of most macroeconomic problems, but it can be fixed.
  • Professional licensing keeps no one safe and is a scam.
  • Drug companies own the FDA. A huge percentage of approved drugs don’t work. Placebos outperform most drugs easily.
  • Peer reviewed science is an industry that hinders science.
  • Taxing income is the wrong way to tax.
  • CO2 is great for the environment and for humans – more would be better.
  • We are nowhere near artificial general intelligence.
  • The existential threat of AI is minimal compared to the threat of humans.
  • Anti-money-laundering laws are perfectly designed for laundering money.
  • The more longevity breakthroughs we get, the shorter our lives will become.
  • The osteoporosis industrial complex is designed to keep bones fragile and people weak.
  • The longevity industry is great for mice but not for humans.
  • No human should leave Earth orbit for at least a few hundred years.
  • Data centers in space are not going to work, because space is not cold.
  • Renewable energy does not work, it is always more expensive than conventional power, cannot substitute for conventional power, and drives up energy prices. It also does not drive down CO2 emissions.
  • Thorium is the energy source of the future, until we have fusion.
  • Once we have fusion, there will be several bottlenecks, especially tritium.
  • Data centers will replace universities, and that’s a good thing.
  • School is the worst thing for students.
  • Math and English are no longer important. What’s important is knowing what outcome you want to produce for which audience. Everything else is mechanics.
  • Grid scale batteries are great for fossil-fuel plants but cannot solve the problems of renewables.
  • All the disruptive scientific breakthroughs through history (except one) were the result of constant incremental improvement. There was only ever one lone genius, and he was Einstein.
  • What happened at the 5th Solvay conference in 1927 – the birth of quantum mechanics.
  • Why veganism is a terrible diet for anyone. As a vegan of 45 years, David has some authority to say that.

Health

David has given over 50 talks on diet, health, fitness, and longevity, and he can condense 10 hours of material into whatever format you’re looking for. He covers daily exercise, what a healthy diet really is, the real risk factors, how to reduce insulin resistance, how to lose weight and keep it off, the truth about supplements, building muscle at any age, and how to live 10-20 years longer. Osteoporosis is not a disease. It is a condition you can reverse, and he covers building bone without being a victim of the osteoporosis industrial complex. He also explains why most longevity gurus and products are terrible and why longevity science is stuck in a trap of hype and misdirection, including why the “blue zones” are nonsense. See his website, The Infinite Game of Life.

Environment

We are already transitioning to a world of abundance. News organizations make money on doom and gloom; the data show the opposite. Here is the essay.

David teaches climate science, not political science. If your audience wants to know how Earth’s complex climate system actually works, it may not be what they have heard. His main talk is on the radiative vs the thermal framework for understanding climate. Learn more.

Science

David reveals the idiotic Nobel prizes, the failure that is peer-reviewed publishing, the fallacy of p-values, the unstoppable stupidity of institutional science, the scientific industrial complex, and the disease economy. He shows why most published research results are false and tells the stories of mavericks proven right after decades – sometimes centuries – of ridicule and repression. This can be a one-hour keynote or a full-day symposium with guests.

Good students wear glasses, kids who play baseball every day don’t. Graduate students have thicker glasses than undergrads. Singapore has far more myopia than any other nation, and myopia is now an epidemic. Learn a practical strategy for preventing your children from getting myopia and needing glasses. It’s a choice.

David has led more than 50 dark-chocolate tastings across the US and in London. He once gave a tasting for the cast of the Lion King before their show. High-end dark chocolate was much better before Hugo Chavez, but he can still find interesting bars and bring them to your event and educate people on how chocolate is made, what makes good chocolate, how to taste it, and what to look for. This is particularly good for fundraisers, as it always draws curious people who want to learn. Logistics can be challenging. Contact him to discuss your needs.

Write to David about your event.
